Fabulous Friday – The Power of Positivity

Weekend

The saying, “You catch more flies with honey than vinegar” is true then and still rings true today.  Whether you are going on a Tinder date tonight, buying groceries, waiting in line, or that cute guy you’ve had your eye on finally said hello, let’s work together to be kinder toward each other.  It’s easy to be kind to those we like, but let’s try to be kind to everyone.  They may need it more than you realize.

Have a beautiful weekend!

Thankful Thursday – Powerful Women

She may not be involved in any branch of government, but Sofia Vergara’s presence on a prime time TV show that is on a major network [Modern Family on ABC] and being Latina is a big deal.  I hope other shows and networks take note and write more positive female characters.   I’m sure they realize it works and is accepted across the board.  Let’s keep it moving (and reboot Living Singles while they are at it)!

Tasty Tuesday – Quick Stir Fry

We hope you are having a delicious week so far!  This week is dedicated to the stir-fry.  It’s a quick, easy way to get dinner on the table with almost everything cooked in one dish.  This week is stir-fry Teriyaki chicken with veggies over white rice.  You can use the sauce over beef, tofu, seafood or pork if you prefer.  It’s a versatile flavor that most will enjoy.

Money Monday – Suze Orman: To Really Save Money Do This

This week Money Monday is dedicated to a short (well, a little over 4 minutes long) video from Suze Orman.  If you are not familiar with her, I suggest you check her out.  She gives fantastic financial advice that covers a very wide range of topics that apply to your life at some point in your journey.

Who do you know would benefit from hearing this video?  It’s definitely worth a share or two!

So Awesome!

AGinSIad

I’m so glad this is being printed in a major magazine as Sports Illustrated.  I plan on buying the magazine as a keepsake.  I’m not concerned that she’s not being featured by SI because they could have rejected the ad.  They could have told the company that she is not “attractive” and that she “does not fit their standards” or something similar that a lot of magazines already say when presented with similar material.  The presence of “no” and “you are not good enough” is strong in this industry already – but this time they said yes. 😀

Ashley Graham looks fantastic and is wearing a bikini.  We need more models like her on magazine covers, advertisements, TV, film, and so on.  Beauty comes in many more forms than what is shoved down our throats.  I hope this is the first of many changes!
