If it isn’t evident by now, so many communities have been fragmented, family units have been all about destroyed, and frankly, no one cares outside of their own back yard anymore. This goes beyond color, economic class, beyond nationalism. It’s only Tuesday, and this week has erupted with events that have been simmering a long time, both literally in Nepal, and figuratively now in Baltimore. It’s heart breaking that the bigger issues are being ignored in favor of TV ratings and sparking division especially in the US. There are systems at work deceiving you, encouraging this in an effort to control you, and we all lap it up willingly and say, “Oh, they deserved,” almost in vain. Even if you aren’t religious, the message of treating each other as you would yourself, or simply taking a step back to try and understand where the other person is coming from should be understood – if not a universal truth. You don’t have to step foot into a Holy building to understand that. I encourage everyone to not only continue to pray for peace, but work together more to take back our freedom, and take back our futures from what they want to consider a “reality.”
