I hope you all had a wonderful Friday night. Whether you relaxed at home after a long week, or ventured out with friends and loved ones to dance the night away, I hope it helped you recharge. I had the pleasure of attending a friend’s dinner party with a fun Halloween theme. The food was fantastic as was the company. I was finally able to wear a Boohoo dress I purchased. It’s black and white with long sleeves. It was perfect for last night since it was so cool out in my neck of the woods. I paired it with my black Jessica Simpson stilettos and statement jewelry worked out well.
Whatever you are getting into today, make it beautiful!
Whether you are hosting the BBQ this year, or traveling to one, remember to not only bring a little something, but also have fun! American’s work too hard as it is, you may as well enjoy the long weekend. For those who are working, especially in the medical field, I hope you are able to find some rest this long weekend.
Especially to the soldiers fighting for the rest of us back home, you especially deserve a thank-you!
Remember to not drink and drive, and if you are setting off fireworks, to be safe! Happy 4th!
The saying, “You catch more flies with honey than vinegar” is true then and still rings true today. Whether you are going on a Tinder date tonight, buying groceries, waiting in line, or that cute guy you’ve had your eye on finally said hello, let’s work together to be kinder toward each other. It’s easy to be kind to those we like, but let’s try to be kind to everyone. They may need it more than you realize.
Have a beautiful weekend!
I’m sure you have heard it a million times so far this week – it’s bitterly cold almost everywhere in the US! I think I have packed on a million layers of clothing just to stay warm. It’s times like this that I miss summer, and the smell of sunblock for a moment. Ah, the memory of ice cold drinks on warm nights with friends laughing as the sun finally set close to 10pm (minus the humidity). I know it can be hard to find something stylish to put on because being warm is more important. The best way is to dress up in layers.
Frankly, I love Thanksgiving. I actually love it more than Christmas only because it’s a day almost everyone has off, and we get to eat so much delicious food! Oh, yeah, and spend time with family. I have to throw that in there. I know in my age range there are probably a lot of you out there who have been chosen by family to host the big dinner this year. It can be very overwhelming and scary actually. What if you don’t like to cook? Which pizza place will deliver in case you burn everything? Let’s take several steps back and just breathe. Really, just relax. It is not as complicated as you are thinking at all. The important things to remember are how many people are coming, what kind of food will you be serving, will you offer alcohol, and how will you entertain your guests. This basis will cover the entire evening or weekend, depending on how long any guests are staying with you. Let’s break everything down in simple steps:
