Dinner For Witches

I hope you all had a wonderful Friday night.  Whether you relaxed at home after a long week, or ventured out with friends and loved ones to dance the night away, I hope it helped you recharge.  I had the pleasure of attending a friend’s dinner party with a fun Halloween theme.  The food was fantastic as was the company.  I was finally able to wear a Boohoo dress I purchased.  It’s black and white with long sleeves.  It was perfect for last night since it was so cool out in my neck of the woods.  I paired it with my black Jessica Simpson stilettos and statement jewelry worked out well.

The dress is black and white and the sleeves are actually long enough! Usually when I buy a dress the sleeves never fall long enough.

An up close look at my jewelry. I love this necklace and wear it as often as I can.

Whatever you are getting into today, make it beautiful!

Beautiful Weekend

I hope you had a relaxing and exciting weekend! I had the pleasure of attending a friends bachelorette party at Howl at the Moon in Philly.   It was a lot of fun, just too crowded for my taste.

It’s Sunday night, and that means preparing for the upcoming week.  I can’t believe April is almost over!

I hope you have a wonderful week! 😎

Fancy Lady

Color Block Dress

This afternoon, I was in celebration of my friends marriage.   My dress is off the rack from Burlington Coat Factory, and my shoes are Guess.  I bought this a while ago, but it is turning into my go-to for semi formal events.  I love it!

Don’t let anyone tell you it’s impossible to find stylish clothes that fit a curvy body.  Need help finding great items?  I will gladly help you!

Product Review: Pantene “Repair and Protect”

926182_449273181875914_1812983449_n I recently got a sample of Pantene’s “Repair and Protect” in the mail.  I figured I would give it a shot because I love trying new products.  I know some who love Pantene too.

It did give my hair a shine, which is nice.  My hair is naturally oily to begin with, so within a day of using this product, my hair is already flat, and blah.

This was the after picture after I dried my hair and straightened it.  A full bottle of each product retail around $4, which is reasonable.

Would I purchase this?  Probably not.  My hair felt  crunchy/dry after I dried it not soft like I’m used to, and I really don’t like the fragrance of their products.

Happy Shopping!

Product Review – Leave in Conditioner

I have spent a lot of money and time trying to find the best balance when it comes to conditioning my hair because even though it is oily, it tends to dry out fairly easily.  It’s a delicate dance I play with chemistry.

I decided to try Motions brand leave in conditioner.  It’s under $4 a bottle and can be found in most beauty supply places.  I haven’t seen it in stores like Target or Walmart.

Results?   I’m not crazy about it at all.  My hair feels stiff and straw-like and doesn’t have the shine that I like.  There are other products that I like better as a leave in that give my hair life and make it soft, shiny and beautiful.

Recommend?  I’d skip this.  It’s inexpensive but the results aren’t worth it.

Here I am sans makeup after using the product during my hair routine.
