And when we drift off to sleep, we know we’re safe because you always made sure we were safe and warm.
Mother’s Day is more than simply a day on the calendar. It’s a time to remember who cared for us and nourished our souls. It doesn’t matter how you became a mother. What matters is the love you give to others selflessly. It’s not easy to love someone else unconditionally. It requires ongoing sacrifice of your time, energy, and spirit. So many of us out there do this without hesitation on a daily basis. You are deserving on praise not only today but every day.
If this is a tough weekend for you, my heart goes out to you. So many of us lose our parents too soon, as I’ve lost my father almost 13 years ago and my mother currently isn’t doing well. Life keeps moving forward with little regard for who we love and care for hanging in the balance.
Even if you aren’t a Mother, spread some love this weekend. Someone out there needs a touch of kindness.
This was very empowering to me this morning I had to share it with you. 👇🏼
We often think that losing love is the real tragedy, the real heartbreak, and loss but it’s not. The one who did not value you, did not appreciate all of the love, loyalty, and devotion that you can offer them in such a selfish, greedy, and narcissistic world has lost something they will find hard, if not impossible to replace. No matter how hard they try. Take heart and comfort in the fact that you know how to love and how to care for someone else because that is a truly important gift to treasure that some spend a lifetime never getting right. ❤️
Never lose sight of that!
Have a beautiful Thursday filled with wonder and insight! 💡
We have to remember to find compassion in such a dark world. It is that same compassion that causes the light to shine through.
With all that is going on in the world recently, it is important to take a moment to be conscious of others in bondage, others suffering, and others simply trying to live. We often take our every day lives for granted and do not realize how great we have things until large scale situations happen evoking fear and breeding ignorance. Let’s take a moment to stop and in fact smell the roses, and spread some peace, love, and rock & roll.
It’s a cool and cloudy day here on the east coast this morning. I’m enjoying my coffee slowly while wishing I had a warmer to set my mug on. I was thinking this morning about how connected the world is these days but some of our personal relationships could use a boost. Whether it’s a social boost or simply your friends or loved ones need to know you care about them or need to hear again how much you love them. The simple fact that we can send a tweet and within seconds it reaches the far corners of the world and how incredible that is, yet we barely speak to family members or we put off time for friends because we assume tomorrow is granted to us. I understand we may not have the time to sit down for an hour a day and gab but even a simple text, email or voice message goes a long way.
Take a moment today to reach out to someone or a few people who may need to hear that message more than you feel like sending it. Love is the cureall.
