Topical Tuesdays – High Cost of Brasier Living

IMG_1744

We all have that drawer or space devoted to our bras.  Whether they are fancy, high end, or barely being held together by the last bit of elastic and cheap wire, we rarely feel right in them, and tend to have so many that parting sometimes can be a sweet sorrow.  Each store has numerous styles, names, and fits to hold up two friends of ours that barely get along.  They don’t even look the same, let alone want to be held up all night by a sometimes constricting torture device.  They make us feel sexy, scared, supportive, yet most of us have no clue what we are doing in the lingerie department.  I know some women wish they came with instructions, or at least let there be more of a standard across the board when it comes to fits and sizes.

Review: Eucerin “Professional Repair”

I received the sample in the mail of Eucerin’s Professional Repair lotion.  It’s marked for extremely dry skin, so I used my tiny sample on my elbows and what was left on my heels.  I did not find that it lived up to its name.  My skin on both areas was not any more repaired than when I use my Target store brand lotion that is geared toward dry skin.

The Eucerin product retails around $7 in both powerhouses of Target and Walmart for 6.8 fl oz.  That is just crazy really.  It’s not gold, it’s lotion.  My 32 fl oz bottle of lotion retails around $6, and I get it from Target.   I won’t be making a switch any time soon.  I found something that works great for my winter dry skin.

What are you using that works for your skin?

Dancing In the Rain

I think it stormed each day this week but I decided to step out and wear white today.  Why not?  I’m making more of an effort to wear more of the clothes in my closet or else I’m selling or donating them.  It’s useless to let it hang in the closet forever just because I “love” it.

Simple makeup: Maroon eyeshadow, black liner mascara and light moisturizer on my lips.

White top from Walmart (yep) and under $10.  I paired it with leggings today but I think I’d rather it with trousers or dark jeans so it’s not too casual.

How are you coping with the crappy weather lately?
